I was going to make a Youtube video for this post, but I decided not to because I am not ready to be a Youtube sensation just yet! I’ve worn prescription glasses since I was a tween. For the longest time I’ve wanted to try contact lenses, but the thought of putting them in my eyes freaked me out. I had so many questions and received many different opinions. Like when you ask a woman “Does giving birth hurt?” 😛 Brenda from Angel Contacts got in touch with me and asked if I would be interested in trying out their circle lenses. To put an end to all my questions, I said yes!!
Angel Contacts launched in 2010 and are based in both Vancouver and Toronto, Canada. Specializing in GEO Circle contact lenses, these cosmetic lenses are great for enhancing your eyes on any occasion.
What Are Circle Lenses?
GEO Circle lenses are cosmetic contacts that come in a variety of styles and colours. The lenses are 14mm in diameter, which means they give you a natural, yet noticeable enlargement to your iris — creating the illusion of large eyes. The optical zone in the middle is transparent, and it is large enough to provide clear vision. GEO Circle lenses were first made famous in Asia and are now popular all over the world.
Angel Contacts GEO circle lenses are Health Canada certified and U.S. FDA 510(K) approved and are safe to wear.”

I have sensitive eyes that can be a little dry at times, so I was a little skeptical about how my eyes would take to wearing these lenses. I was so excited to finally own a set of contact lens, that I didn’t want to be disappointed with not being able to wear them. The circle lenses came in two separate vials, along with two lens cases. Also included was an instruction pamphlet on how to properly put the lenses in, how to care for them as well as safety information, a business card and a thank you card.
On the back of the thank-you card, it shows you how to open the vials. I didn’t realize this until after I was trying to figure out how to open the darn things! LOL! Very helpful for any newbies. 😛
I honestly couldn’t wait to put these lenses in and try them out. But I do admit as a first time contact lens wearer, I was still a bit nervous. Nervous at the thought of possibly poking my eye out, nervous about putting something in there, you name it, I had it all running through my head. Finally I said enough is enough. It really can’t be that bad? Can it? So many people wear them, now here’s your chance to go for it and get a whole new eye colour! So off I went on a mission….
To my surprise, I had the lenses in place in under 2 minutes. Of course, now that I got the hang of it a few weeks in, I’m a whole lot faster! 😉 I had this idea that it was going to be a lot more difficult than it was. It was a very simple process. I put them in looking downwards, I blinked a few times and they set in place. After about 10 seconds I couldn’t feel them anymore. Mission accomplished! Simple! After all these years of wondering what it would be like to wear contacts, I finally got the nerve to try them out! Hey, If a scaredy cat like me can do it, so can you!
GEO Nudy Blue Circle Lens: This series gives a light textured look for natural, defined eyes.
My natural eye colour is hazel. I chose Nudy Blue. I’ve always wanted blue eyes but wanted them to look as natural as possible. In bright light, these lenses look sea blue/green. I love them. The colour is gorgeous! This colour definitely made my eyes pop, and they were extremely comfortable to wear. They felt so natural, I honestly forgot I was wearing them. They made my eyes stand out a lot more. A friend told me my eyes looked like “doll eyes”.
GEO OL VIOLET Circle Lens: This series adds spice to your eyes, with elegant yet subtle colours.
The true colour was hard to capture on camera. With a flash they look really purple. Without flash, my camera decided not to cooperate and they ended up looking brown as you can see in the photo below to the left. These lenses are a true violet colour and lighter than what you see in the photos. They look very natural just like the Nudy Blue ones and are just as comfortable to wear. These lenses are a little more dramatic, yet subtle at the same time. Not over bearing or bright at all. Perfect for a night out on the town with a dramatic smoky eye. Super classy look, that will not go unnoticed.
Angel Contacts also carries prescription lenses as well. They offer the following circle lenses in prescription form (-7.00 to 0):
- Angel Brown, Gray, Blue and Green
- Nudy Brown and Gray
- OL Brown and Gray
- Magic Brown and Black
- Fresh Brown and Grey
My overall experience with Angel Contacts GEO Circle lenses was wonderful. Brenda was very helpful and friendly, answering any questions I had, being a first-time cosmetic contact lens wearer. I had a really great experience. Thanks again, Brenda! I absolutely love these circle lenses! I highly recommend checking out Angel Contacts.
