Hey everyone! I’ve decided to add an extra contributor here to help out with reviews on The Life of a Canadian Angel. My significant other Pete (aka Grizz) will be sharing his honest thoughts from time to time with you all on non beauty related items of course;) This is his first time writing a product review on a blog. So please give him a warm welcome!
Stressed out? Treat yourself to a massage on the go with the newest addition to the Tiger Balm product line, Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub.
Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub provides fast, soothing relief for neck and shoulder pain and the aches caused by work stress, tension, and sitting at a desk for long periods of time. The easy-to-carry and no-fuss dispensing tube makes it convenient to dispense anytime or anywhere you need a lift – in the office or on the go.
The creamy, water-based blend of camphor and menthol gives Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub a clean, non-greasy feel while the vanishing scent makes it practical for any social or office situation.”
I’ve used several different creams/ointments to treat sore muscles for as long as I can remember. When I played football and rugby as a teenager, my parents made sure I always had some sort of fast acting pain rain relief cream in my equipment bag.
The first thing I noticed about the Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub was it doesn’t get super hot, it’s much more… relaxing and cooling. It seems to penetrate deeper too, which is great. It’s also not as strong smelling as other pain relief creams I’ve tried. Huge plus right there!
Not that I don’t like that near overpowering smell of camphor, (if it smells like it works, then it has to work, right?) but Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub is much more tolerable for that near bed time application to help loosen things up to make falling asleep easier. Yes, my sore shoulders causes me enough grief to lose sleep at night.
For sore neck muscles (a fairly common occurrence for me, since I love to ride a sportbike, and my riding posture isn’t the greatest) Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub is great. Other pain relief creams I’ve tried generally get so hot that it feels like someone is pouring boiling water on the base of my skull. Tiger Balm doesn’t do that. It’s a deep, mellow, relaxing feeling. Just like a relaxing massage.
Do I recommend Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub? Absolutely!
It’s perfect for the people with a sensitive nose, neck, skin, or if you just want to get deep heat through to a sore shoulder or neck without smelling like a 1950’s era medicine cabinet.
