Fall is one of my
Though the seasons haven’t changed yet, it’s fast approaching. It’s time to start layering up, dressing a little warmer and taking care of your skin as the wind and rain picks up. I’m looking forward to switching up my beauty regime, along with my wardrobe, and getting out for a ride on my sport bike in the cooler weather (this summer has been crazy hot!) to see all beautiful fall colours. We all could use a few tips when it comes to changing up our wardrobes and beauty routines as the seasons change. Here are a few
Skin and Hair Care
The air is changing, so the way you care for your skin and hair should change too. It’s going to get cooler, breezier and wetter. With the cold air creeping in, you need to make sure you have a moisturizing shower gel that won’t dry out your skin as the temperature changes. A nice creamy body wash is great for fall and winter, making you feel warm and wintery.
Don’t forget to moisturize too, especially your face, which will be exposed to the elements. Treat yourself to a fall facial every now and again. And don’t forget the sunscreen when it’s still sunny! Just because it’s cooler, doesn’t mean the sun can’t still damage your skin. Carry a lip balm and hand cream for those easy to dry areas. You’ll need to keep your hair moisturized too, and keep it tame. Use a good conditioner and maybe treat it to a hot oil treatment.
A new season means new trends. Fashionistas speculate on trends for the fall in March though, based on runway fashion trends. There’s nothing that says you have to go with what’s in fashion, but if you want to know what’s on trend it’s smokey brown eyes and full berry coloured lips. Glittery brown lips made an appearance too, as well as bright, jewel-toned eye makeup with red lips. If you’re not sure about the latest fashion, stick with soft colours for autumn and you can’t go wrrong.
If you have the money and the time. then the changing season is the perfect opportunity to buy a new wardrobe. Start at the beginning and shop women’s tops online to find your basic pieces, and then mix and match. Make sure you get several outfits out of each piece of clothing, not just one. Layering always looks good for fall, and it’s practical too. You don’t need a full winter coat yet, but it’s a bit too chilly for just a t-shirt and thin jacket.
It’s time to get a bit more practical with shoes. Summer was the time for sandals and flip-flops, but now it’s time for boots. That’s OK though, because everyone loves boots! You’ll need something warm, but not too warm, and something waterproof. Short booties are in again, but there’s plenty of higher boots out there too. And if you love a bit of sparkle. You’re in luck. There was plenty of glitter to around at fashion shows earlier in the year.
