Having suffered from Keratosis Pilaris as well as eczema since I was a tween, it was no surprise to find out that my little 15 year old sister has Eczema as well, but thankfully no KP. Her eczema has always been mild, but mine can get really bad at times, to the point when my skin is literally on fire and raw from scratching so hard. Sometimes I feel like I want to just rip my skin off! LOL! Sounds gross but yeah! It gets THAT bad. 😛 #EczemaAndMe
I haven’t experienced those ‘scratching so hard’ episodes for the last little while now though. While I do still have itchy flare ups, they are nowhere near as bad and they don’t happen as often. Recently I began using Polysporin after taking part in a #CollectiveBias shop and I’ve been amazed at the positive results.
It’s officially winter here in Edmonton Alberta and the blast of cold is no longer wreaking havoc on my skin. Since I started using the Daily Moisturizing Cream from Polysporin, I am happy to say that I have found Eczema Relief as well as physical comfort.
What intrigued me, was the claim on the bottle of Polysporin Eczema Essentials Daily Moisturizing Cream that it “provides healthier looking skin in just 3 days, and starts working immediately”. I’m always skeptical of these kind of claims, but thought that for the reasonable price it would be worth a try, if it meant I would stop scratching and if I could see an improvement in my skin in a just a few days.
Polysporin Daily Moisturizing Cream is slightly thick, yet has a creamy texture to it. It provided what seemed like a short cooling effect that really soothed my bumpy, irritated skin. It’s even helped quite a bit with the redness from my KP.
The Polysporin Eczema Relief products can be found in the pharmacy section of Wal-Mart for under $16 a bottle. I was also able to take advantage of a $4 off coupon.Whoo hoo!
It was shelved with the smaller Polysporin ointment tubes, but with more medicated-type lotions. Once I hit the pharmacy area, it was very easy to find. I went to the “regular” hand lotion section. first. LOL! You won’t find it in the “regular” lotion isle.
I’ve been using the Polysporin eczema lotion twice daily over the past few days, it has made such a difference in my skin, that I’ve added it to my daily skincare routine. I will continue using the Polysporin Eczema Essentials Daily Moisturizing Cream over the next couple of weeks and hope that my eczema completely vanishes.
With eczema, finding a product that works well can be hit and miss. However, having persistence does pay off and it’s well worth the effort to have physical comfort! If you or someone in your family has persistent eczema, I highly recommend that you give Polysporin Eczema Essentials a try to see if it works for you.
